The High Dials confounded expectations with their fifth and most recent LP, in the words of Shindig! boldly "ripping their technicolour facsimile to shreds and reassembling the pieces in an abstract collage of blues and greys." Inspired by urban nightlife as a kind of surreal wilderness, the High Dials and producer Marc Bell strip back the layers and turn up the groove - with shoegaze textures and electro flourishes added to a pulsing backbeat.
